The CBHC Helpline is part of the Story Collection Initiative. The goal of this project is to bring the often-unheard voices of average citizens to the forefront of the health care debate.

People all across the state are forced to jeopardize their well-being, cut their pills in half and skip appointments with their doctors due to ballooning health care costs. We use the poignant stories of ordinary Illinoisans to bring the human impact of the health care crisis home to legislators, news media and community leaders.
