From March 2-4, 2007, congregations across the state joined together to pray and then “Sound the Alarm” with a horn, bell or Shofar sounding 18 times for the 1.8 million uninsured people in Illinois. This event was used as part of the continuing effort to call on state legislators to make quality, affordable health care accessible to everyone in Illinois.
