Effective Advocacy for Women’s Health
and the Affordable Care Act
A training for women and leaders of women’s organizations who support the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) and want to learn the most effective messages and tools for building support of health care reform in their communities.
The law has been upheld! But the work has only just begun. Come learn (and practice!) ways to move the Affordable Care Act forward here in Illinois. We need to push back against the attacks on women’s health care, build a strong Health Insurance Marketplace (Exchange), and ensure the expansion of Medicaid here in Illinois. This is a training for women who want to take action! You don’t have to know everything about the law – but you have to want to be a part of the fight.
Each training will include the following components:
- What’s in the law for women and families
- What threatens the law both at the federal level and here in the state of Illinois
- How to most effectively advocate for the law: Messaging and framing techniques that really work
- Tools and resources for taking action and being heard
Here are the trainings we currently have scheduled. Please use the form below to register for the one you want attend.
