Sound the Alarm!

People of all faiths from around Illinois come together to “SOUND the ALARM” for Health Care Justice! Congregations will join together in prayer or meditation and then “Sound the Alarm” calling for the creation of an affordable and quality healthcare system for all. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) is a huge step forward to provide coverage to over 30 million people across the country, but we need to ensure that it is implemented.

How to get Involved? *

ALLY: Have your congregation ring a bell, symbolically "sounding the alarm" to celebrate recent steps taken towards health care justice.
ASSOCIATE: Pray for - and gather others (in a vigil, forum, etc.) to support - full implementation of the ACA here in Illinois so that millions of people will see the reform fully realized: affordable, quality health care for all.
ADVOCATE: Encourage members to join our statewide and nationwide celebration through various means (i.e., Letters to the Governor, Letters to the Editor, etc.). Be creative and join the festivities!
AMBASSADOR: Give annual financial support. We need your benevolence so we can educate the members of our faith community about the benefits of the new health care law.
