Annual CBHC Events

Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting is our biggest annual event, usually occurring in late November or early December in Chicago. The meeting brings together health care advocates, providers, consumers, and CBHC supporters to discuss recent and important developments in health care policy and health care reform implementation in Illinois. Features keynote speakers, a silent auction, and ad book and sponsor opportunities. See details from last year’s meeting

Summer Celebration
Our Summer Celebration is held annually in June and is a time for us to celebrate health advocates’ achievements (and the warmer weather) and focus on the work still still come. Features speakers, a silent auction, and sponsorship opportunities. See details from our last Summer Celebration.

Health Care Justice Run, Walk and Roll
We participate in the Chicago AIDS Foundation’s AIDS Run & Walk Chicago in October, as we raise money and awareness for all health care injustices and the need for quality, affordable health care for all. Plus, it’s fun! See details from last year’s Run, Walk, and Roll.

Sound the Alarm!
CBHC’s biggest faith event brings together over 400 churches in mid-spring for a weekend of sounding the alarm for health care justice. Churches across the state sign on to recognize those struggling with their health and injustices in the care system by hosting special prayers, sermons, or discussion groups and recognizing health care reform not as a political issue, but a moral imperative. See details from the last Sound the Alarm! event.
